A traveller is rescued from the surging seas to the devout fishing village of Saint-Cotriade. Conversation is sparse and his temporary lodgings in an ancient monastery bring him fact to face with an unsettling kind of hook-up culture. Plenty of fish in the sea is a darkly humorous and physically adventurous contemporary fable about finding the perfect catch.

IN FRENCH AND ENGLISH WITH ENGLISH SUBTITLES.

“Physical and visual theatre in an utterly refreshing fever dream.”

— Theatre Travels

“Transitions between places on boats, in storms and in dream-like states are excitingly theatrical, with the performers physically matching the swinging frame, moving bed, spinning wardrobe and crashing wave sounds as if the entire stage were being thrown around in the wind..”

— Charlotte Smee, Kaleidoscope Arts

“The production features a clever and well utilised set,
which is continually rearranged by the cast to represent his (The NARRATOR’s) room in the convent, fishing spots, the kitchen (for making the famous fish stew) and hidden nooks in the convent to hang out with the silent assistant.”
