Talented young singers tackled this iconic musical with joy and rigour.
Posters of Parisian nightlife by Toulouse Lautrec inspired the form and colour of the design.
A barricade mid-explosion is the setting for this production. Each object suspended was constructed from scrap timber pallets. The objects; tables, cart wheels, shards of timber etc were lowered to the stage and moved by the cast to fortify the revolutionary barricade.
Inspired by opera designs by Robert Wilson, Tobhiyah used a scrim as the sky behind the barricade. lighting was used on the scrim to saturate the stage picture in colour.
